Montblanc's first sports dive watch, the Montblanc 1858 Iced Sea Automatic Date, features a "glacier" dial that gives the impression of looking into the depths of a glacier. This black dial with a "glacier" motif is inspired by the Mer de Glace (Ice Sea), the main glacier of the Mont Blanc Massif. Its texture was obtained using an almost forgotten ancestral technique called graté-boisé. The timepiece features a one-way bezel in two-tone ceramic, an engraved caseback and an interchangeable black rubber strap with refined adjustments. The watch complies with ISO 6425 for diving watches and is waterproof to 300 meters.
