The Multifort Chronometer¹ watch features the unique Caliber 80 automatic movement optimized with silicon technology. Particularly precise and resistant, it is decorated with a côtes de Genève motif, a hallmark of the collection. It is also equipped with a graduated bezel and an even more refined look, thanks to the indices and hands with satin finishes. Its special caseback features a built-in engraved rehaut.
CALIBER 80 CHRONOMETER SILICON
MIDO has decided to optimize its most representative movement, the Caliber 80, by equipping it with a silicon spiral.
In addition to its anti-magnetic properties, this material, essential in fine watchmaking, offers long-term accuracy much higher than that of a normal spiral, with higher impact resistance characteristics. The watch is a COSC certified stopwatch and offers exceptional autonomy up to 80 hours of power reserve.
COSC STOPWATCH
The certification of "stopwatch" guarantees the high precision of a watch or movement.
The tests conducted by COSC include the verification of the number engraved on the movement of the watch and checks in a test environment. Each movement is controlled individually according to a strict procedure of several days in five positions and at different temperatures (8°C, 23°C and 38°C). For 15 days the watch is subjected to daily checks. Every day, including Saturdays and Sundays, instruments are measured and loaded. If the movement meets the requirements, timekeeping certification is issued.
