"Once Upon a Time..." The Montblanc Writers Edition Homage to Brothers Grimm is dedicated to Jacob and Wilhelm Grimm and celebrates their work in collecting and reworking popular German and European fairy tales, including some of the most famous such as Snow White, Cinderella and Sleeping Beauty. The overall silhouette of the writing instrument takes the shape of an ancient mountain stick and the black color evokes the darkness of the forests, the usual setting of the Grimm brothers' folktales. In addition, the wave pattern on the body and cap is inspired by Rapunzel's hair and also evokes the shape of the roots, a reference to the fact that the Brothers Grimm saw their linguistic work as a "root-related research". The cap is crowned with the Montblanc emblem in precious resin. When rotated, the platinum-finished clip, inspired by a knotty piece of wood, reveals the striking silhouette of the Grimm brothers' profile. To pay homage to the magic of storytelling, the rhodium-finished Au 750 solid gold nib bears the design of the flames of a hearth, a place around which folk tales were often told and handed down.
